“The police forces should be present and mobilized to solve the problems which might emerge”, PM Tariceanu has stated. In his turn, the Interior Minister Mr. Cristian David has informed the Cabinet on the measures already taken to prepare the second round of local elections: increase in the number of polling stations, increase of stamp number, and assurance of order and public safety devices.
The police and gendarmerie forces will assure the order in the perimeter area and will firmly enforce the legal provisions, Minister Cristian David has stated.
Furthermore, the Interior Minister has stated that a unit in charge of analyzing notifications with respect to possible bribes and electoral frauds was set up. Thus, there will be set up mobile patrols at the level of County Police Inspectorates that will check in the shortest possible time - few tens of minutes, the notifications on the possible bribe or electoral fraud, Minister David has stated. “I believe this practice is the most efficient since the verification of these post factum notifications is hardly to prove”, Minister David has stated.
