April – October 2009 Director General - Paying and Intervention Agency for Agriculture (PIAA), in charge of coordinating all the activities of the agency, having as main duties: unfolding and management of European and national funds for agriculture;
a) Direct payments and market measures (for direct payments for agriculture schemes having FEGA as funding source and for FEADR related measures);
b) Measures funded from European funds for agriculture, rural development and fisheries, established by Order of the Minister of Forests, Agriculture and Rural Development;
c) Payments representing financial aid from the national budget.

- Responsibilities regarding the implementation of some PHARE twinning programmes with Great Britain;
