The Spokesperson for the Government, Mrs. Ioana Muntean denied today the information appeared in the press regarding the setting up of an investment fund launched by the Government with money from CEC (Saving Bank) and with support from BNR (National Bank of Romania).
"This information is incorrect. Such a project has not entered the Executive’s debate”, the Spokesperson for the Executive has stated.

The Government is considering a draft legislative act on establishing an investment fund, but this will be mainly composed of minority state holdings in various companies.

"The way in which this minority stake will be capitalized, will be communicated by the Government and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment in due time," Mrs. Ioana Muntean has stated.
