“Whereby the “National Strategy of Sustainable Development, we establish the main action directions for the implementation of the principles of long term sustainable development, which should be correlated with the National Plan of Reforms and Lisbon Strategy” PM Calin Popescu - Tariceanu has stated at the end of the Government meeting
According” to the national strategy of sustainable development”, there will be taken measures meant to curb the effects of the climate changes, a constant concern at European level and to guarantee food safety and security.
Prime Minister has stated that the Strategy will be sent to be submitted to debate and to be adopted by the Parliament, and it is to be further sent to the European Commission.
Prime Minister Tariceanu has also stated that the Strategy will be sent to debate and adoption to Parliament and it is to be further sent to the European Commission.
PM Tariceanu has stated that this strategy will not remain at the stage of project. A plan of concrete measures will be further adopted and an inter-department Committee led by a Minister with responsibilities in this field will be set up, and it will pursue its implementation.
The Head of the Executive has showed that the Strategy aims as general orientation, at the horizon of 2013, at the organic inclusion of principles and sustainable development practices, according to EU requirements, at the horizon of 2020 - at reaching the current average level, with reference to 2006, of EU 25, and at the horizon of 2030 - Romania' significant approach to that year's average level of EU member states from the viewpoint of economic and social indicators.
