New regulations for accessing European funds in the agricultural field

Whereby a decision made on today’s meeting, the Executive decided that the projects aiming at land improvements in the public or private field and for which their owner or administrator ensures free access to the achieved infrastructure, can be financed from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, whereby the National Programme of Rural Development. According to the legislative act, the public non – refundable financing of the projects of the above mentioned category stands for 100 percent of the overall eligible spending.
“We enabled the accessing of EU funds devoted to agriculture development for the irrigation systems too”, the Agriculture Minister, Mr. Ilie Sarbu has stated.
The decision taken by the Executive offers the possibility to an applicant to submit at the same time more projects for different measures within the National Rural Development Programme, to be co-financed from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. An applicant can submit projects to be co-financed by FEADR even if he has different onging investment projects financed whereby SAPARD Programme.
The new regulations adopted by the Executive amend the Executive Resolution 224/ 2008 that established the general framework for the implementation of the procedures of evaluation, selection, contracting, procurement, payment, control and monitoring related to the projects co-financed from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, whereby the National Programme of Rural Development.
