On today's Government meeting, the Government has approved the payment of 59.599 EUR to achieve PHARE project. “Cross- border cooperation to demonstrate the multiple usages and benefits of the reconstruction of humid areas from Romania/ Ukraine Danube Delta Cross-border Biosphere Reservation
The project beneficiary is the administration of “Danube Delta” Biosphere Reservation. The project aims at the improvement of protection and environment management in cross - border areas and emphasis of the role of humid areas reconstruction for ecology, economy, leisure, community involvement, monitoring, research and education.
The sum approved by the Executive adds to 206.792 EUR, the value of the grant awarded through cross-border cooperation/ neighborhood 2005 between Romania and Ukraine. The project implementation period is of 16 months, the finalization date of implementation is November 30, 2008.
The project will be implemented by the administration of Danube Delta Biosphere Reservation, under the authority of the Ministry of Environment and Durable Development.
