PM Victor Ponta has met today at Victoria Palace with the IMF Managing General, Mrs. Christine Lagarde.
PM has outlined the Government’s economic achievements and the macroeconomic policies considered for the next period.
The IMF Managing Director has congratulated the Romanian authorities for the successful conclusion of the agreement finalized in June 2013 as well as for Romania’s exiting the excessive budget deficit procedure.
The sides have agreed on the importance of continuing the structural reforms and increasing the European funds absorption, as engines of medium and long term economic growth.
