PM Victor Ponta has met today at the Victoria Palace, with the Danish Minister for European Affairs Nicolai Wammen

Prime Minister Victor Ponta has met today, May 16, with the Danish Minister for European Affairs Nicolai Wammen, on a visit to Bucharest.
Both officials have outlined the friendship between Romania and Denmark and excellent cooperation at bilateral and European level. There have been evoked the results of the visit the Prime Minister made to Copenhagen in February.
During the talks, there has been reiterated the attachment of the two countries to the European values and principles and there has been expressed the concern about some trends in Europe intended to affect European construction, in the context of the current economic crisis. It has been reiterated that, in Europe, we need more concrete actions to revive economic growth and to reduce unemployment, especially among young people.
Prime Minister has presented the objectives that Romania has in the energy area, both at national and European level, energy is one of the main topics on the agenda of next week's European Council in Brussels.
Also, during the talks, there have been addressed issues pertaining to the recent developments in the Eastern Neighborhood and the EU enlargement process.
