Ladies and gentlemen,

First of all, I want to thank you very much for invitation. I recalled, coming here, the fact that last year, you also invited me to an event of the trade chamber, ten years – yes? Of activity, and I can remark today that the atmosphere seems to me warmer literally and figuratively.
I want to thank the businesspeople, diplomatic representatives, all those who contributed in this period to the improvement or to a return to a very good level of economic relations first, but also all the other types, between Romania and Germany.
I want to thank especially Mr. President Merica, who was present at the meetings with the businesspeople I had in Germany, two weeks ago. There as here, he presented the things accurately, good things happening in Romania, but also bad things that should be redressed. And indeed, less bureaucracy, more determined countering of administrative issues, corruption, legislative stability in the business area are if you want, areas where we have a great deal to improve, but at the same time, they are the current Government’s priorities.
On every occasion I have, I want to thank those of you who live in Romania, invest in Romania, create jobs in Romania and have confidence that this country has a better and surer development potential than many of us believe, those living here.
One year ago, with respect to my presence here, I told at a certain moment, that 99 percent of my time is consumed with political problems. This year, I can tell with all conviction that 99 percent of my time and energy is consumed by the attempt to adopt and implement those economic policies whereby I can create jobs and economic growth.
And on this very occasion, beyond the message for the economic world, business environment, I want to thank you for the invitation. I am determined to stay two hours and half, even if the press will tell you I stayed only four minutes. It equally does great pleasure to me. Thank you!
