Monday, February 2, 2004 - The Minister of Labour met with Executive Directors of the Directorates for Dialogue, Family and Social Solidarity, the decentralized units of MoLSSF. Participants at the reunion discussed the methodology to apply the E.O. no.105/2003 on family-based complementary subsidies and on subsidies to support single-parent families. On that topic, measures to secure payments according to the law have been set.

Mrs. Dumitru was informed on the schedule to introduce IT applications for data collected at local level and reminded those present of the importance that social inquiries be conducted efficiently. Other topics on the meeting agenda concerned: the new system for delivering heating subsidies to the population, and suggestions to enhance cooperation with authorities at local level to best target social assistance programs.
