Prime Minister Calin Popescu - Tariceanu has requested the Minister Delegate for Control, Mr. Cristian David to verify the contract for building of the Tourist and Amusement Park (Dracula Park)
The initiative of building a tourist and amusement park, under the name of “Dracula Park” was launched in 2001. The initial location for the achievement of the project was Sighisoara City, but it was further changed.
RAPPS (Autonomous Body for the Administration of State Protocol) and Dracula Park Company concluded in 2003 a contract of association in participation for a 49 years for the setting up of the Tourist and Amusement Park of Snagov. By this contract, RAPPS assures the right to use a land situated in the private ownership of the state and RAPPS administration, with an area of 459, 81 hectares in Snagov commune. The RAPPS Vlasia farm is currently functioning on the land on which the amusement park should have been built.
On the meeting of February 28th, 2006, the Administration Council of the Autonomous Body for the Administration of State Protocol (RA RAPPS) decided to cancel the contract with the trading company Dracula S.A, on the setting up of the industrial park “Tourist and Amusement Park of Snagov”.
