Restructuring of governmental agencies
On today’s meeting, the Executive decided the structuring of the governmental agencies under the Executive’s authority, PM Emil Boc has announced at the end of today’s Executive meeting.
“There are 226 agencies, authorities, administrations, centers, companies, inspectorates, inspections, institutes, laboratories, offices, state owned companies, and other institutions of this kind functioning under the Executive’s authority one way or other. 107 will remain out of the 226 we analyzed during our meeting with Ministers, further to dismantling, amalgamation or merger, takeover in various structures of Ministries, 33 being mandatory for Romania’s relations with EU”, the Head of the Executive has stated.
The field Ministries will prepare until next week the legislative acts for the dismantling, amalgamation and taking over by Ministry of the respective governmental structures, either under the form of Executive Decision, or draft laws about to be submitted to the Executive or Parliament’s approval.
With respect to savings to state budget generated by these decisions, Prime Minister has stated that the posts will fall by 9.200 further to dismantling, amalgamation or merger, entailing thus the saving of 50 million EUR. “Also further to taking over to state budget of the revenues of some governmental agencies, such as Land Survey, State Inspectorate for Constructions, all the own revenues of agencies will be sent to state budget and each employee of these agencies will be paid with a salary appropriate to the pay in the other governmental structures. Nearly 100 million EUR will be saved from the taking over to state budget of the revenues of governmental agencies”, PM Emil Boc has stated.
The Head of the Executive has further stated that 60 commercial societies under the authority of the Economy Ministry and Transport and Infrastructure Ministry are to be evaluated and a punctual situation of each of them is to be put forward over the next period.
