Romanians will have access to European N-Lex System

“The Executive approved a Memorandum for the setting up of an electronic legislative data basis, with free access and its connection to European N-Lex System” the Spokesperson for the Romanian Executive, Mrs. Ioana Muntean has stated at the end of the Executive meeting.
Through this project, Romania will assure free access to the EU space legislation, N-Lex being a joint interface.
“We speak about free access to EU member states’ national legislation, that will uphold thus a better knowledge of national aspects of EU space”, Mrs. Ioana Muntean has stated.
The N-Lex project will be financed from European money, whereby the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity Development (PO DCA).
“Whereby this portal, the Executive wants to provide an useful instrument to firms, companies, public administrations, universities, law experts, and to all citizens interested in the EU states’ legislation”, the Spokesperson for the Executive has added.
“The legislative portal is instrumental to those who want to pursue studies in a EU state and needs to know the legislation of the respective country; it can provide useful information to those encountering cross-border related problems, I refer here to Romanian citizens working temporarily in Italy, Spain or other EU states and to those who want to analyze the EU member states’ legal systems, Mrs. Ioana Muntean has stated.
The Department for European Affairs and the Ministry of Justice and Citizenship Freedoms are the initiators of this project.
