The Executive has decided to cut by 20 percent the number of advisers to dignitaries’ cabinets

Ministers, Secretaries of State and Heads of agencies should reduce by 20 percent the personnel assigned to dignitary’s cabinet, PM Emil Boc has announced at the end of the Executive meeting.
The draft law stipulating this measure was adopted today by the Executive and will be sent to Parliament to be debated in emergency procedure and afterwards passed.
PM Emil Boc has stated that the overall number of posts will be cut from 16 to 13 (Minister’s cabinet), from 6 to 5 at the Secretary of State’s Cabinet and from 5 to 4 in case of the other structures of governmental agencies. After the draft law passing, the measure will be enacted at the level of local authorities too, PM has given assurances. This measure aims at curbing public spending with salaries in the public system.
