Theme: Executive Meeting from 08.03.2006

The Government has decided to supplement the budget of the Ministry of European Integration (MIE) on 2006 with the sum of 725.000 lei (RON) for the unfolding of “Europe Agenda” Program.

MIE will assign the contract for the procurement of the services necessary to the unfolding of “Europe Agenda” Program, according to legal provisions on public procurement.

“Europe Agenda” is a publication of the Belgian Foundation “Generation Europe”, whose public target is represented by youngsters of 15- 18 years old. The objective of the publication is to be an information instrument accessible to all teenagers of the European Union and the candidate countries, and to lay the bases of a network for the young European citizens. “Europe Agenda” is conceived with the moral and financial support of the European Commission, European Parliament, public authorities of EU member states and it is approved by the Ministry of Education of each country.

The Romanian form of “Agenda” will contribute among others, to the information of Romanian teenagers regarding the European values and their involvement in the integration process, their education on cultural, social and civic responsibilities as well as the supply of teachers with equipment for them to help the youngsters to understand the importance of the European Union.

The Belgian foundation “Generation Europe” is active in 27 countries and plays, as of 1995 an important role in the information of youngsters of the EU candidate states.
