The number of companies that could benefit from state aid schemes to ensure sustainable economic development, increases
Prime Minister Emil Boc has stated that the Government has adopted a decision by which it enlarged the scope of potential beneficiaries of state aid. Eligible for state aid schemes, non-refundable funds are companies that create at least 100 jobs, compared to at least 300 jobs as the old provision stipulated, and make a minimum investment of 10 million EUR, compared to minimum 30 million EUR worth investment.
„It is about 200 million EUR, which can sustain and create 5,000 jobs," PM Emil Boc has stated. By lowering the minimum threshold of the investment value, small and medium sized enterprises may fall into the category of beneficiaries.
The state aid is granted to enterprises to achieve an initial investment."We want as many companies as possible in Romania to be eligible for this state aid scheme to support economic activity, employment, and through the taxes they pay, to support state budget " Prime Minister has outlined.
