Today, Prime Minister Victor Ponta will have a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Leanca

Prime Minister of Romania, Victor Ponta, will have today, July 9, 2013, consultations with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Leanca, on the working visit which he pays in Bucharest, at the invitation of the Head of the Romanian Government.
During the discussions, the two Prime Ministers will determine the main landmarks of the governmental political dialogue for the next period and agree on the priority action lines at the sectoral level. Special attention will be given to initiatives to connect more closely the two countries at the economic, commercial, cultural and inter-human contacts level. There will be analyzed in detail the energy interconnection and transport projects and bilateral cooperation initiatives undertaken under the various assistance programs offered by Romania.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta will address during the meeting, the progress achieved by the Republic of Moldova in the dialogue with the European Union and will reiterate Romania’s firm support for Chisinau objectives in the perspective of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, in November 2013.
This is the first visit he pays to Romania, in the current capacity as the new Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
