Initiation and implementation of some large projects:
• 2000-2003: restructuring and modernization of equipment for child protection in accordance with EU standards, the first county in Romania that dismantled residential care institutions and provided family conditions for all institutionalized children; There have been implemented 13 non – refundable projects through the programme "Children First", worth 1.3 million euro;
• June 2002: Initiation and Promotion of the "Border crossing point with Turnu – Magurele- Nikopol ferry "financed from Phare-CBC funds;
• October 2002: Development of the first county integrated information system in Romania;
• 2005: initiation and implementation of large investment project benefiting Teleorman, "Integrated System of Waste Management" project included in the " clean Teleorman " Programme;
• Initiation and achievement of the largest investment project in water supply and sanitation in Teleorman County - "Rehabilitation and extension of water supply and sewerage systems»
• Rehabilitation of Emergency County Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia
• Water supply for 300,000 residents of rural Teleorman county;

• May 1997: initiation, as prefect of the Teleorman county, the formation of the first regions (South Muntenia) and establishment of the Regional Development Agency;
• September 1997: organization in Turnu Magurele, under the aegis of the Council of Europe of the "Seminar on cross-border cooperation of Danube Riparian counties", which marked the beginning of the Romanian-Bulgarian cooperation;
• October 1997 organization under the slogan "Romania-Africa", of a documentary and friendship visit in Teleorman County for heads of diplomatic missions of seven African countries accredited in Bucharest. The visit aimed at initiating economic relations between Teleorman and the respective countries;
• June 1998: organizing a documentation visit to Teleorman of senior officials of the European Commission (in charge of DGs of external relations, regional policies, rural development, agriculture, fishing, employment) with a view to preparing Romania’s access to financial instruments for pre-accession to the European Union;
• June 1998: organization in collaboration with the Ministry of National Defence and National Defence College of the round table on "Security issues at the end of the Second Millennium", attended by Romanian and NATO member countries’ officers;
• 1998-2000: initiation and implementation of extensive modernization works of the link road between Alexandria and Bucharest, which led to reclassifying DN 6 in European road E 70;
• May 1999: organizing national seminar "Agriculture-National Priority", attended by experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and policy makers (prefects and presidents of county councils in all counties);
• 2001: developing the new strategy for rehabilitation of county roads which aims at modernizing, repairing ansd maintaining the entire county road network;
• 2002-2012: initiating contacts with regions of EU countries in order to achieve collaboration and twinning agreements: region Gelderland, Overijssel (Netherlands), Oise (France), Stockholm (Sweden), Abruzzo, Tuscany, Lazio, Veneto (Italy), An Hui (China);
• October 2002: initiation at CLRAE in Strasbourg, as co-rapporteur of the project "Water management in the Danube Basin, based on experience of Rhine Basin regions";
