1. PM Victor Ponta has met today, May 16, 2013, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García Margallo, who is on an official visit to Bucharest.
   During the talks, there has been saluted the excellent state of bilateral relations and there have been discussed concrete ways to boost economic cooperation between Romania and Spain. Prime Minister has presented the steps taken by the Government regarding the creation of a stable and attractive economic environment and has encouraged the organization of as many events and economic actions as to promote investment in areas of interest such as: infrastructure, agriculture, energy, etc..
   There have been also discussed recent developments in Europe, with a focus on economic situation and on measures to ensure economic growth and creation of new jobs and on the topics on the agenda of the European Council of 22 May this year, energy and combating tax evasion. There has been emphasized the good coordination between Romania and Spain in the area of European affairs and intensification of political dialogue on sectoral themes.
