Good morning, once again. Welcome to the Government. I know you have a very busy schedule today and I hope that first discussion with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defence has been already useful. There are here with me, Mr. Vice Prime Minister, Mr. Oprea in charge with security matters, State Secretary, Mr. Aurescu. I would like to say just in the beginning that you are welcome to Bucharest; I am very pleased to see you here and just to tell you that you have all the support from the Government to accomplish all the targets of the Organization until the end of your mandate, and even after that.
So, once, welcome and I hope you will have a very successful day, in Bucharest!

Anders Fogh Rasmussen

Thank you very much indeed, Mr. Prime Minister. I have been looking very much forward to visiting Romania once again, also because I want to take this opportunity to thank Romania for your significant contribution to our Alliance, notably your contribution to our operations in Afghanistan, also Kosovo, also your participation in a number of multilateral projects. Politically, you also contributed in a very significant way. As you know, I have recently appointed your Ambassador to NATO, as assistant. He will now be the leader of one of our divisions, the division that deals with emergent security challenges and now, Romania attaches great importance to how we address the future security threats and challenges, that is why, we created that division, and we very much look forward to working with your Ambassador in his new capacity.
