Vice Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea has met at Victoria Palace with a delegation of the Dutch Senate

Vice Prime Minister met today, February 21, at Victoria Palace with a parliamentary delegation led by Fred de Graaf, Dutch Senate President.
During the meeting, there has been outlined the wish of the Romanian Government that the dynamics of economic relations between the two states can be transposed in the dynamics of political relations, this visit being an important signal for the political environment, for Dutch business environment and the public perception on Romania.
Vice Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea said that at this time in Bucharest, there is working on a number of important projects, such as decentralization, new Constitution and electoral law change. He has also showed the availability of the Romanian Government to develop as much as possible the Romanian-Dutch economic cooperation, stimulating projects initiated by member companies of the Association of Dutch businessmen and as well as encouraging links at the level of local authorities. One of the themes for which the Vice Prime Minister called for consultation and possible expertise from the Dutch side was the project of regionalization, President of the Senate, De Graaf emphasizing the importance of maintaining regional development balance, strengthening the link between authorities and citizens, but also achieving local development objectives.
The Dutch Senate President has appreciated the good economic cooperation between the two countries, the Netherlands counting among the most important investors in Romania. Dutch official has added, also the Dutch party’s desire to strengthen ties with the Romanian authorities at Government and parliamentary level and the local level too.
